1. The Super Mario Bros. Movie: A Hilarious and Action-Packed Adventure
Alright, folks, if you’re a fan of the classic Nintendo games, you’re going to love The Super Mario Bros. Movie! With Chris Pratt as Mario and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, this movie is packed with elements from your favorite games like Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, and Super Mario 3D World. But be prepared, it’s a bit edgier than the games when it comes to cartoon violence, scares, and bullying.
You see missiles, explosions, and crazy “ritual sacrifices.” Mario and Peach are super brave, but they do face some seriously dangerous situations with villain Bowser, who doesn’t mess around. And for the younger crowd, there’s a spooky scene with zombie skeleton turtles that might be a bit much.
But hey, it’s not all doom and gloom! This movie is all about perseverance, courage, and teamwork. Plus, who can forget those magic mushrooms?
2. John Wick: Chapter 4: Prepare for an Epic, Dazzling Adventure
Keanu Reeves is back, and this time, he’s taking on his longest adventure yet in John Wick: Chapter 4. Clocking in at nearly three hours, this movie is filled with spectacular visuals and, of course, loads of violence and revenge.
I mean, we’re talking guns, shooting, stabbings, throat-slitting, car chases, and even an attack dog. So yeah, it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. But amidst all the chaos, you’ll hear some colorful language, like “f–k,” “motherf—-r,” and even a French swear word – ooh la la!
Don’t worry, though; there are some chill moments where adult characters just hang out and have a drink. So if you’re ready for some action-packed fun, John Wick: Chapter 4 is the ticket.
3. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves: A Rollicking Good Time
Last but not least, we’ve got Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. This comedy/fantasy adventure is based on the classic role-playing game and follows a group of misfit bandits, led by Chris Pine’s Edgin the Bard and Michelle Rodriguez’s Holga the Warrior, on a mission to stop an evil wizard.
There’s plenty of fantasy action violence in this one, like sword fights, magical battles, and even a poisoning or two. And heads up, there’s a major character death that might tug at your heartstrings. But hey, it’s not all serious – you’ll also hear some funny language like “s–t,” “bastard,” and “son of a bitch.”
The romance is pretty tame, but there’s some flirting and a few sweet moments between a married couple. Plus, this movie has a diverse cast and some seriously powerful women characters. So if you’re into action, laughs, and a little bit of heart, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is a must-see.
